Farrakhan mahukan barangbukti terhadap Osama Laden
(Farrakhan asks for proof on bin Laden)
Pendakwah Louis Farrakhan telah meminta Presiden Bush, Selasa
lalu mendedahkan segala bahan bukti terhadap Osama bin laden
supaya rakyat boleh menjadi hakim apakah beliau benar-benar
terlibat dalam episod serangan jenayah September 11.
"Jangan berselindung di sebalik keselamatan negara," kata
Farrakahan dalam satu ucapan menyambut ulangtahun ke enam 'The
Million man March." Katanya, "negara ini akan menjadi lebih selamat
kalau anda beri penjelasan kepada rakyat Amerika kenapa kita mesti
berjuang." Walaupun AS dan sekutunya menyatakan mereka mempunyai bahan
diperbetulkan?" Tamat. Terjemahan: SPAR Asal: http://chicagotribune.com/news/nationworld/
chi-0110170320oct17.story By Rick Hepp Tribune staff reporter October 17, 2001 Minister Louis Farrakhan called Tuesday on President Bush to lay
out the evidence against Osama bin Laden so people may judge
whether he was involved in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
"Don't hide behind national security," Farrakhan said in a speech
marking the sixth anniversary of the Million Man March. "The nation
would be more secure if you give the American people a reason to
fight." Even though the U.S. and its allies say they have proof that bin
Laden and the Al Qaeda network were responsible for the attacks on
the World Trade Center and the Pentagon, Farrakhan said: "They
have lied before, and there's no guarantee they are not lying now."
"There's nothing wrong with asking the American government to
show us the proof," he said at a 2 1/2-hour speech at the Christ
Universal Temple, 11901 S. Ashland Ave. Reporters were not
allowed inside the temple but were invited to monitor Farrakhan's
remarks over the Internet or by TV satellite.
Farrakhan, who heads the Nation of Islam, has previously
condemned the terrorist attacks as "vicious and atrocious."
On Tuesday he again urged U.S. leaders to re-evaluate foreign
policy. "Is there a better way to defeat terrorism?" he asked. "Must
hundreds of thousands of innocent lives be lost and the cause of
terrorism never be addressed?" Copyright (c) 2001, Chicago Tribune |
